Or two partial necklaces, anyway. These are mockups from a recent commission project to reproduce the necklace worn by the wolf-princess Ayame (an anime-only character from InuYasha).
The upper one is made with Czech glass beads: faceted black mini-bugles, a mix of black/green seeds, and three vintage transparent green claws. IIRC the claws are just under 1" long (I think the cats have dragged my measuring tape under the furniture again). The beads are strung onto 14lb-test gel-spun polymer, which is a tedious and twiddly process :b
The lower one, which was the version accepted by the buyer, has three stone (green aventurine) magatama knotted directly onto 2mm black satin cord. The middle magatama is about 1-1/2" long; the two on the side are about 1-1/4" long.
Yup-- are you interested in a large one or a small one?
The large necklace in the picture has already been sold, but I actually have another copy that I made to test-wear for a few days to make sure the design was secure. However, its magatama aren't as intensely green as the original and there may be some natural fissures in the stone that aren't visible from the side.
I do have a bunch more green aventurine magatama, though. It'd be easier if all three magatama are the same size, since I don't have as many of the large ones, but hey.
...well, since I'm making these by hand, basically the way it works is that if you tell me you want to buy one, I can make another one for you.
I've just listed my test-model version of the large necklace on eBay at [link] ; if you'd like a different set of magatama, let me know so I can start to look through my stash to color-match another three of them together.

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
