Zoom of the beads from weeks 2 and 3.

IMHO neo-alex is vastly better for casing than colorless glass-- apparently this brand of glass is notorious for its colorless glass smoking up, and besides neo-alex inherently has the subtle color-change effect. I suppose I could also try a different transparent pastel for casing.

Things to imrpove next time-- extend the casing over the ends of the bead; otherwise, it leaves behind an awkwardly contrasty "naked navel" effect. Then again, those areas could just be strategically hidden by neighboring beads when actually strung, since two of the other "navelled" beads are camouflaged in this shot by being stacked so closely together.
